Skull Snowflake Card

Hey there ghouls and creeps! After the holidays I really like to mail out thank you’s to folks for the gifts we received as a small token of gratitude. This year I decided to make up some cards from scratch, and if I do say so myself, I think they turned out pretty good! I love the little skull snowflakes included with the asymmetrical font, perfect for any Creepmas enthusiast! This idea could very easily be made in a variety of colors or prints if you prefer something more vibrant. I found that the white showed a lot of imperfections and residue from the laser cutter, so beware! Let’s get started!

The Skull Snowflake Card project is super easy! Just cut, glue, add finishing touches and you’re finished!

Step 1: Cutting Card Fronts: Use the JPG file below to cut out the card fronts in Cricut Design Space, or on a Glowforge. I included two variations of the snowflake cutouts to choose from. Depending on the machine or die cutter that you are using, this may sway you to select one cut layout of over the other.

Step 2: Assembling Cards: Cut black cardstock into 6 1/4″X 4 1/2″ rectangles. Apply glue stick to the inside of the front of the card.

Be careful to not get glue stick inside the cut out openings, or on the writing side of the inside of the card.

Line up the edges of the black cardstock rectangle and the edges of the card and press in place.

Step 3: Details and Finishing: Take an eraser to the front of the card to clean up any stray marks.

Use a white colored pencil, white ink pen or fine tip chalk marker to fill in the centers of the “A” and “O”. You may also choose to glue the cut outs of the “A” and “O” instead of hand drawing them in.

To define the colored pencil, I used an ink pen to go over the outside edges of the letter centers.

You’re finished! Fill out those freshly made cards and send them out to those lucky recipients! Use the JPG cutting file for other paper crafting projects, or for appliques to embellish clothing or home decor!
