Pop-Up Halloween Card
Hey ghouls and creeps! Have you sent out your Halloween cards this year? If not, I have this super easy, cute, and spooky (of course) DIY that will bring a smile to any ghoul’s or goblin’s face! Finished dimensions for this card design are 5 3/4″ square. The circle frame opening is 4″ in diameter in case you would like to keep your stickers within the perimeter.
I rated the Pop-Up Halloween Card project as easy! This project requires minor cutting on your Cricut machine(you could also manually cut your card pieces), as well as gluing, accordion folding, and potentially some writing with a chalk marker. Let’s get started!
*Supply quantities below are for 2 cards!
Step 1: Cutting: Using the JPEG or SVG files below cut your card pieces with your Cricut machine, or print and use as templates and cut manually. Follow instructions on templates for paper colors and quantities.

Step 2: Bat Prep: If you scored your pop-up bat with your Cricut machine, you can skip this part! With a transparent ruler and Xacto knife lightly score a line down the center of your bat.
Then flip the bat and score two lines 1 3/4″ from the center on both wings.
Now fold along the center score line, then fold each wing score line in the opposite direction from the center fold(like an accordion fold).
With your chalk pen, write out your spooky season greetings. I wrote, “Wishing you an eerie-sistible Halloween,” as an example. Set your pop-up bat aside and begin card assembly.
Step 3: Card Assembly: If not already folded in half, fold your card in half widthwise.
Apply paper adhesive to the wrong side of your black frame for the card’s front. Then press the frame to the card, lining up corners and edges. Important note: Be sure to glue your frame so that the fold is positioned on the left side of the frame.
Stick your bat or other spooky stickers inside the frame on the card’s front.
The card’s front is now finished! Let’s move on to the inside!
Open up your card and measure 1 1/4″ in and 2″ up from both bottom corners. Make really light marks at these measurements with a pencil to use as reference points for positioning your pop-up.
Apply glue between the wing folds and the wing tips on both sides.
Once you have lined up the wing tips to the reference points, press your bat pop-up in place.
Congratulations, you’re finished! Now you can mail out your freshly made Halloween cards just in time for Halloween!
